So why are we releasing this if it's not ours? Because we thought you might like to see how DREAD came about. This is the band Mark and Denny were in before joining Boog and myself in early 1990. DREAD played a couple of Necromancers tunes such as "InstruMETAL" and "Brain Drain" live but never recorded them.

DREAD was born officially June 20, 1990. The initial lineup was Denny Hanley-
guitar/vocals, Steve Nelson- guitar, Mark Selig- drums, John "Boog" Berkeley- bass.

The quartet entered the studio for the first time July of 1990 and recorded 4 songs for the demo Ugly, Blatant, Real. They got their first gig July 30, 1990 opening for then- up and coming band Biohazard at Deringer's in Brockton, MA. ... more
