Recorded at Up Froggy Studios in RI. There was a lot going on at this time and not much of it was good. That said, I believe the songs were good songs but it just didnt have the heart/passion that we once had. It was also the first time as a three piece with yet another lineup! Tuned down, caveman raw and so many things I wish we had done with this but at the end of the day it's cool, it's heavy and it's still DREAD.

DREAD was born officially June 20, 1990. The initial lineup was Denny Hanley-
guitar/vocals, Steve Nelson- guitar, Mark Selig- drums, John "Boog" Berkeley- bass.

The quartet entered the studio for the first time July of 1990 and recorded 4 songs for the demo Ugly, Blatant, Real. They got their first gig July 30, 1990 opening for then- up and coming band Biohazard at Deringer's in Brockton, MA. ... more
